Emergency Relief
Children are always the most vulnerable in any crisis. Children for Life ensures that children affected by armed conflict, floods, famines, earthquakes and disease outbreaks get life-saving medical aid, shelter, food and water. Below are details of services and items that can be provided with the respective donations.
1. Tent, blanket, sleeping mat, tarp and rope for US$45 per family of 5.
2. Total body wash + shaving lather, Deep cleaning teeth wipes (3), Antiperspirant deodorant, Anti-fungal foot cream, Anti-bacterial wipes, Toilet tissue (2 rolls), Sunscreen + insect repellent pocket wipes, Medicated lip balm (1), Water purification tablets (3) for US$20 per person.
3. Nine weeks of specially formulated peanut paste for US$5 per child.
4. Wooden/tarpaulin shelter and chairs for 30 children for US$500.
5. Baby soap, baby blanket, pamphlet on exclusive breastfeeding, emergency, knitted cap and sweater for US$50
6. Antibiotics, Oral Rehydration Salt (ORS) and Zinc for US$50 per child.
7. Soccer or basket, Games, etc US40 per child or group of children.
8. Bag (back-pac), pen, pencil, eraser, exercise book, text book, ruler etc for US$60 per child.
9. De-worming treatment and micronutrient for US$40 per child.
10. Volunteers to donate their time and energies to service Children fir Life.
As part of the CFL emergency preparedness plan the above items can be immediately donated (cash or items provided). Special emergency appeal will be made to the general public through our website and directly to our regular patrons. Emergency Shelter Kits provide blankets, a sleeping mat, a tarp and rope to shelter the homeless in their moment of need.
